CASTLE AND KEY – Bourbon Distillery Tour
Settle back in your coach for a visit to a small batch bourbon distillery located in a castle. This distillery was built in 1887 and has 113 acres of beautiful landscaped property. It has a rich history, and picturesque gardens, and is the birthplace of bourbon hospitality. After our tour, we will have a late lunch at a local restaurant in Frankfort. The price of lunch is not included in the cost of the trip.
There are only 24 seats available, so, send your money in immediately so that you can reserve a seat on the bus.
Date: Thursday October 24, 2024.
Departure: 9:30 a.m. – Southeast Christian Church Parking Lot, 920 Blankenbaker Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40243 - Park in Lot B located on the church grounds off of Blankenbaker Parkway.
Cost: $80
Due Date: Money and signed form must in by September 3, 2024. ONLY 24 seats so sign up now! (Note: If we don’t get 24 people, we may have to cancel the trip and you will get your money returned to you).
Forms: Be sure to sign and include the JEFFERSON COUNTY RETIRED TEACHERS’ ASSOCIATION RELEASE WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT and your $80 check. Checks should be made out to Martha O’Bryan.

THE ODDS FAVOR A FUN DAY AT THE DOWNS!

Costs: Table Rows A-C, $50; Rows D-I $48
Get your JCRTA friends together and enjoy a relaxing day at the fall meet at Churchill Downs. We’ll meet on MILLIONAIRES ROW located on the 4th floor of the Clubhouse.

Parking: Free Parking will be provided in the Black Lot (Use the Paddock Gate) or in the Yellow Lot (enter through Clubhouse Gate). (Golf Carts provide transport to and from the parking lots)
SPECIAL NOTE ON SEATING: You will make your own reservations; however, we strongly encourage you to make a Group Reservation at the SAME TIME. Tables are for eight; however, if you call in from 2 to 8 reservations you’ll be seated together. If you call in separately, you’ll have a seat but it may be with other groups. Get a friend or group of friends and make your reservations at the same time. Other JCRTA members will be in the room at various tables but you can visit in the room or on the balcony.

2025 Trip
Canada and New England Cruise
October 5 – 12, 2025
Join your fellow teachers on a fun cruise up the New England coast to Canada. We will depart from New York City and make the following stops: Newport, Rhode Island, Portland, and Bar Harbor Maine, Halifax in Nova Scotia, and St. John Bay and the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick. Lobster and great fall cruising weather are in the works.
