MEMBERSHIP

Each state has a Retired Teachers  Association.  Our state organization is called the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association (KRTA).   KRTA is composed of many local CHAPTERS.   The Jefferson County Retired Teachers Association (JCRTA) is our local chapter of KRTA.

KRTA AND JCRTA are not affiliated with KEA or the JCTA union.  JCRTA and KRTA allow BOTH teachers and administrators to join.

Jefferson County Retired Teachers Association (JCRTA) Membership

There are two categories of membership in JCRTA.

Regular Membership

2.  Retired teachers  who taught in Jefferson County and receive their annuity check from TRS  but do not live in Jefferson County.

Associate Membership

       1.  Other people who  do not receive an annuity check from TRS but are interested in the concerns of  educators and those who enjoy the fellowship on trips and tours.
